Happy New Years!

Hi Everyone!! It's New Year's Eve and we are taking some shots of Grace. Dad is holding her and she smiles every time we take away the camera! She is getting so aware of her surroundings and loves to be held. As I'm writing this, she is turned toward me , sucking as if to say "I'm hungry!"..I better make this fast!

Mom and Dad are babysitting tonight as we go to Lindsay and Dave's for New Years. I am having a hard time thinking of being away from her for four whole hours, but I know we'll have lot of fun (and so will Grace!)

So, have a HAPPY NEW YEAR'S!! As always, we are missing our friends and family who live in Newfoundland, but we are thinking of you.

Lots of Firsts!

Grace

Dad, Mom, and the three yorkies! Can you see them all? :)

Daddy and Grace

Relaxing with the babe and doggie

On my first outing. Thanks Aunt Dot and Deb for the hat!

I will miss my sissy tomorrow:(

Hi Everyone:) I hope everyone had an awesome Christmas!! We had a really great couple of days. On boxing day, we took Grace to Bear Creek Park and took her for a little walk. I was so nervous about everything (wind, wasps..you name it!). It turned out that Grace really likes the stroller and slept through the whole thing. JB and dad played Frisbee with the pup and us girls took care of the baby. It was about 25 degrees, so it was the warmest boxing day Dad, Mom and Em have ever seen.

The next day, Mari's mom and dad came over to visit Gracie. It was great to see them again and hope to all hang out soon! Sam, you are getting to be such a big boy!

We went to Char and Damien's last night and they cooked the yummiest supper. Grace met all three yorkies and Daisy beat herself out playing with them. It was Grace's first time in someone else's house!

So, we are getting ready for Em to go tomorrow and I am pretty upset. I know she'll have a fun new years in St.John's, but what are we gonna do without Auntie Em? Sigh. It was a good trip and I know we'll make sure to see eachother soon:)

XOXOXOXO

Sam and Grace exchange gifts

Merry Christmas Everyone!! This is Gracie's first Christmas and it was great. We spend all morning opening gifts for Ms. Grace. Thank you so much!! She has a bunch of clothes and toys and she slept through it all. It's so warm here today we have the air conditioning blasting and we're getting into the Christmas mood by listening to Christmas music and smelling the dinner dad has cooking. He has been barefoot in the kitchen, cooking up a scoff all day! :) We are missing everyone in Newfoundland (and Vancouver, Calgary and Ontario) and wishing we could all be together today.
Justin will post some video's today. Thanks again for all the super thoughtful gifts!!

Emily and Dad snugging as soon as he got in from the airport

Hi Everyone:) I am grabbing a second to write this because I hear little Grace waking up! Em and I are here playing this American Idol game and it's pretty funny. When she is not paying attention, I'll tape her and put it up on the blog! hahaa..I kid I kid...

So, our house is complete now that Dad/Pop Roy is here!! It was so amazing to see him again and it was great to see him meeting Grace for the first time. They are spending lots of quality time together and he has fallen for her, I can tell;) I am just enjoying watching them spend time with her.

Grace also met Kelly, John and baby Garrett a couple of days ago. They were both sleeping so I don't think the babies officially met but they will! That day Steph and Brian came over, bearing gifts! Thanks so much Hannah for the beautiful painting you did for Gracie's room.

Well, I have to go check on my little monkey.

XOXO

Yesterday we went to the Doctor with Ms. Grace and everything is looking good! She was technically 12 days old, and now is 7 pounds, 7 ounces and 21 inches long. So, I feel much better about her feedings now:) I was worried that she wasn't eating enough, but she is looking great and gaining lots of weight. Whew. They had to prick her foot and I was holding in tears the whole time. I'm not looking forward to her vaccines!

So, we are all waiting for Dad Roy to get in! We are all sooooo excited to see him and for him to see Grace for the first time. Yay! We'll make sure to post some Poppy pics asap.

We are all missing everyone in Newfoundland right about now. It is still weird for me not to have snow around the holidays. Have an awesome Christmas and take lots of pics to send us!
Girls, have fun eating Shikara's dip and Janice's cookies...I'm jealous!

Merry Christmas! XOXOX

Peter (JB's brother) as a baby

Emily as a baby

Ok, so Justin's mom Trudy sent some pictures of Peter (her other son) and Justin when they were babies. I must admit that they do look kind of like her!! BUT, in the game spirit, Dad Roy sent pics of me and Em when we were babies....hmmmmmmmmmmm. So, what do you think? ;)
I will post new pics of Grace today. She has changed so much in the past two weeks and I Justin said he can already see how fast she will grow up. sigh! Anyway, she is yelling to be fed...better go!

Sam and Mari visit

Sam and Grace
Happy boy (in Grace's clothes! He spit up on his own!)They didn't really want thier picture taken

Sweetness

Hey everyone:) Thanks so much for following our blog. I promise I'll get more pics of Grace when she is awake (but I'm usually pretty busy when she is awake!). Everything is going well, and we are learning about feeding every day (and night!) We are starting to get into a routine and I feel like Grace has been here forever. We love her more each day and she loves gazing at us.
Mari and Sam came over yesterday with yummy cookies and there were lots of photo op's with the babies. Grace is a little lazy compared to Sam, but Sam was putting on a show for everyone.
Other than that, we are just hanging out at home with Mom and sis. Thank god for them because all I need to worry about is taking care of Gracie. Thanks guys! OXOXO
I will try to post a video later! XOOX

Meeting New Friends

Rachel and Grace

Matt and Grace

Nana did her hair

She is sporting her coming home from the hospital outfit

She loooooves her hands...I always have to put mittens on them because she scratches herself (and me!)

up close with Grace!

She has long fingers like nana Glenda and aunt Em

Today Grace met our friends Matt and Rachel!! Rachel held her with no hesitation (what a natural momma;) and Matt did a great job but was a little worried he would crush her. They brought really nice gifts, including a thing that hooks her dummy on her shirt. We REALLY need this because Daisy Duke enjoys scamming them when we drop them on the floor..sigh. So, thanks for dropping over guys. Also, thanks to Kelly who dropped us over a sweet little Christmas onesie. We are thinking of her because her baby Garrett is not feeling well, so get well baby.

We are just waiting for Mari and Sam to visit us now. Mom and Sis are setting up the play yard in the living room (which is pretty funny to watch!!) Emily is getting all Roy on us, taking charge of this! The play yard helps me watch Grace 100% of time...I am a crazy new momma and I just want to be able to check her whenever she peeps.

Well, Grace is letting me know she is hungry so I better go. Em will post the pics...love ya'all! xoxo
