Yes, today is Sam's first birthday! Happy birthday big boy! I remember when I learned that Mari was pregnant with Sam, I was in Canada. I was sooooooo excited!! It seems like yesterday the little bundle of joy came into the world and he was so tiny! Soon enough, he was a happy boy who loved to move! He is now running around everywhere, eating everything adults do and just havin fun:) We love you Sam Baron...happy birthday.

Sam's birthday was at the Little Gym and it was so fun. The kids played on a parachute and inflatable play mat. It was JB's first time to see the little Gym and he was pretty impressed. The treats Mari had there were amazing! However, they did make me go off of my diet...waaaaa! Ah well, not every day Sam turns one!

P.S. Friday night I went out with Char, Val, Penny, Mel, Steph and Sue...and it was awesome. We went to this little place called Pali Pali and it has delicious drinks and food...mmmm. Fun times!

So, what the duck is REALLY saying is....who wants to start a book club? Sam? Lukas? Mila?

Crawling....the name does not really sum up what this means. It means she moves by herself. It means she no longer stays where I put her. It means she tries to pull up on the toilet and eat dog food!! Don't get me wrong, I am super happy she is crawling cause thats whats supposed to happen, but HOLY! I never knew what it really meant. We need to find a new word for 'crawling' to warn new parents!haha

We've been pretty busy here in HOT Houston. Gracie went to Chase's birthday party, hung out with Mila and Suri, and swam in Alicia's pool! She has Sam and Lukas' birthdays this upcoming weekend. What a social butterfly!

Grace is changing every day. She has two sharp little teeth at the bottom, she is pulling up on furniture and making funny sounds with her mouth. She thinks Daisy is the funniest thing EVER and smiles a shy little smile when Daddy gets home. She is eating everything you can imagine (cheese, chicken, watermelon..mmm) and is napping twice a day. She is still not sleeping through the night...she might miss something I guess!

Poppy and Nanny Broderick sent her a cool gift, all wrapped up, just for being her! She loved ripping the paper off. There was a new sophie in there, three taggie toys (Grace LOVES tags and these toys have a bunch of tags on them...brilliant!), a cute little onesie...thank you for thinking of my Nanny and Poppy! I know you always do:)

I'm off to entertain this child! LOVE YOU!

Toes! I was horrified to get my toes in this pic!!

So, Gracie signed up for the Little Gym!!! wooooooo hooooooooo! The actual gym is so tiny and cute....mini gymnastics stuff for kids/babies! We do front and back flips, walking on balance beams, sing songs etc. So fun. Also, cool. I mean temperature wise. It is SOOOOO hot in Houston these days, any chance to go inside and play with her is great. Sam's birthday is there the end of the month so that'll be super fun!

Last night was the monthly MNO for the strollerfit group! We went to get mani/pedi's, and had lots to eat/drink. Most of the ladies went out afterwards but I needed to get home to rescue Justin and Grace (Gracie had a baby meltdown...) Overall, it was nice to hang out and have a little adult conversaton!

Day at the Children's Museum!

First, let me say that all of these lovely pics were taken with Justins dear i phone...sigh. Secondly, I promise Grace did not turn into a little boy. I thought it would be cute to pair her little green Newfoundland Insectarium Shirt with some brown shorts...innocent enough. Poor baby was mistaken for a boy all day. Pffft. Now that all that's outta the way, what an AWESOME day at the Children's museum!! Holy..it's amazing. Mari went and told us how fun it was and JB and I checked it out on Saturday. It's a kid's dream. There were billions of toys, squishy things to climb on, spinny things, ball pits, slides...woo hoo! We are seriously thinking of having Gracie's parrrrrrrr -tay there! Thanks Sam for telling us about it!

UPDATE: Grace is cutting a tooth! It's on the bottom and super duper sharp....I know this for sure...ouch.

Crawling!

Yes, my friends, she is crawling! She has been moving quite a bit (rolling, army crawling) but now...it's official! She CRAWLS! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Sick Chick

Poor Gracie. She has been pretty sick since last Thursday! In the nighttime she can't breath at all, so nobody is sleeping much at the Broderick house! I think we might go back to the doctor tomorrow because that poor baby slept most of today.

Other than that, we have been kept busy. On Satuday, we partied with Garrett , Sam and the whole crew for Garrett's first b day! It was so fun!

Saturday night we went to Lindsay and Dave's house for dinner night and wine tasting (thanks Mari!) It was awesome. Yummy food and delicious wine..good times:)

On Sunday, Brian, Steph and the kids came over for supper. It was so good to see them again!

Today, Gracie slept lots and lots and we are hoping tonight will be restful...for everyone.

P.S. Grace has a jumperoo that she busts some crazy moves in! She looks like she is riverdancing!

Happy Birthday Garrett!! We are so excited about coming out for lunch with you and going to your fun birthday party on Saturday!

And, Ms. Grace is almost 8 months old!! She is such a 'little girl' sometimes,it's scary! I notice that she has a real sense of humor and smiles when I do something goofy or mess something up. She loves playing with my hair, but I'm not too excited when she puts it in her mouth...ugh. She is almost crawling , but it seems like she is in reverse. She can scoot backwards very well, which can be frusterating when she is trying to get a toy or something!She is enjoying her bathtimes and her pool outdoors. It is so so hot here in Texas and we are just trying to find indoor things to do (which are not easy to come by!). Suggestions? We have even resorted to going to the grocery store because it's cool!

Well, we are off to get ready for lunch:)
