Lifting up:)

Tonight Grace practiced lifting up her head and chest right before bathtime! We have been practicing tummy time more often, and I think it's paying off because she is so strong.

I am so pround of our little gal!

Other than that, we are all feeling a little under the weather. We napped all afternoon and even though we were not feeling great, I couldn't help but gaze at her and swoon..ahhhhhh. I feel so lucky to have a happy, healthy baby and have the time to laze around with her. I don't want to miss anything!

What a Weekend!..Happy Birthday Aaron!

Grace partying at Aarons 3oth b day!
Hey everyone. Sorry it's been so long since I have blogged, but life has been pretty busy! It seems like there is not much to report, but from a parents point of view, so much has happened! Well, on Saturday night, we went to Mari and Aaron's house for Aaron's 30th birthday party! It was so fun. It was Stepbrothers themed and, if you saw the movie, it was perfectly put together with quotes and all. There was even a sword signed by Randy Jackson ..haha. Happy Birthday Aaron!
Other than that, Grace is doing great. She seems to be growing up before our eyes. Tonight as I was feeding her, I got all teary eyed because she is such a big girl. In the night, she sleeps on her side now. She is developing her sense of humor and laughs at some things and not others. For example, Peek a Boo is funny sometimes, tickling her belly is funny and Daisy Duke even gets some grins. Since we made that laughing video, she has not laughed alot. She is changing up her schedule and routine in the last week and I am thinking it is because she going through a growth spurt. I am hoping that we get on a schedule again soon!! So, you see, lots to report;)
We are really excited about Poppy Tim, Nana Leigh and Uncle Andrew coming down! They are coming this Saturday coming up,so we are getting ready. I can't believe they have not even met Grace yet! Sigh. soon enough we will be planning our Canadian trip!
I better rush off to bed while the boss lady is sleeping.
Love ya XO

"I'm in between toys right now"

Yes, it's true. Grace has outgrown some itty bitty baby toys, but still can't really play with the big kid toys! She still enjoys her playyard but it gets boring pretty quickly. Mari gave her the cutest tea party exersaucer, but she screams every time she gets in it! I think Ms. Grace is very used to being held, and now is not impressed when I try to lay her down...hmmmm. My next step is to get her a mat for the floor so she can move, roll etc.
Speaking of getting tired of toys, she is yelling at me because she is tired of her playmat!! LOVE YA! XOXO
P.S. Check my new stroller...LOVE IT! XO

Diapers, Visitors and Suntanning...oh my!

Grace in her diaper at the park...we were alone, don't worry! It's already sooo hot in Texas!

Little baby and Daddy. She does not want to relax her head anymore because she wants to see everything that is going on!

Gracie loves standing on those chubby legs. Justin is trying to blow on her to cool her down!

We attempted to go by the pool a few days ago and it was WAY too hot (for a Newf like me anyways)

One of my favorite kissing spots is the back of her neck!

Tummy time outside

Ok Grandmothers, take this onesie with a grain of salt!! ;)

She loves putting things to her mouth

My friends Linda and Nicki! Thanks for visiting you guys!

Missing you Poppy Bill!

Justin and I are sitting here, digesting the huge amount of mexican food we just ate with Char, Damien, Marilyn and Bonnie. Fajita Willies Rocks! Grace was so good when we were out and I was a pround momma.

We are just getting used to having an 'empty' house! Poppy Bill left on Monday and Grace is only now getting used to not having him around. It was a very hard good-bye and we have been keeping in close contact since. He worked very hard on Grace's new room and we are looking forward to moving her in (pics to follow!). It is hard to see Grace become so close to people and then for them to leave...sigh. We will see you soon though, Pop!
So, Gracie is getting so big and strong lately. She is sucking her thumb, pulling toys toward her mouth and looking all around. She loves standing up and grinning at you like she did something awesome! She is really happy and is starting to snuggle...ahhhh, happy baby feelings!

Happy Baby Shower Char and Damien!

So, today was Char and Damien's baby shower!! I was a twin shower that I held for them at thier house (mine is too small!) They are having twin girlies, Mila and Suri and everyone is out of thier minds excited! Char looks totally fabulous and she did an amazing job on the nursery (I'll post pics if Char lets me!)

Sammy and Gracie had fun playing together at the shower. Sam tries so hard to just touch Grace and mommy reminds him "Gentle Touches!". Mari and her momma helped me so much with the shower...thanks guys:)

So, today was so fun and made us all so pumped to meet those two sweeties.

Congrats Char and Damien! XOOXOX

Having Fun with Samantha and Brenda!!

Samantha and Grace

Samantha, Me, Grace and Brenda

The Girls, Poppy Bill and Grace

On Sunday, we went to see our friends George and Christine and thier girls Brenda and Samantha! When we arrived, the girlies were busy showing us some pretty exciting diving movies! They LOVE to play mermaids. Grace watched them and I'm sure she wished she could get into her bikini and jump in! Brenda showed us how she can play the piano, hula hoop and even do gymnastics! Samantha told us about how she won a bike competition (against boys too!) and showed some impressive gymnastics moves! It was such a nice hot day and George grilled us some steak fajitas and made some margaritas. It was an all around fun day! I think Grace has found two babysitters! XOX
