Happy Tibs Eve!

Or tips eve....I'm not sure..but it means the day before christmas eve:) As you can see, Gracie is doing great, eating lots of blueberries! haha. She is having an amazing time with her Nana and Pop! They are playing with her constantly, going to the park and going for walks. Justin and I are spending time doing things like watching movies (yes, by ourselves) , going to a play etc etc! I am liking the 'freedom' but at the end of the day, I just wanna spend time with my best buddy:)
So, we are all ready for Christmas! We are leaving cookies and milk for Santa and super excited to see her reactions!

Christmas with Nana and Poppy Broderick

Ho Ho Ho!!! Gracie's Christmas gift came in the form of poppy a week ago and nana Trudy came Saturday. Grace met her at the airport with flowers and a big hug!

Justin and I left an hour later and went to his work party and Grace spent some quality time with Gracie Goose. Oh, Justin spent Thursday on a private plane with a salesman, jetting around, selling huge stuff and even (gasp) drinking rum on the super awesome plane. We are kind of hoping to get a flight to New Orlens on it....keep your fingers crossed!

We are super busy as you would expect...going to plays, getting manicures, going for supper, the spa etc etc. It's different than our Newf traditions but we are in H town!! It'll be the Brodericks first warm Christmas!

Wecome to the Lone Star State Poppy Broderick

It's true, Poppy Broderick got in Thursday night! I was not sure how Grace would react, but it was a christmas miracle! She LOVED him and just wanted to snuggle...and that's all they have been doing ever since! She even goes to sleep on him which is unheard of. They are in love and it's been great. Justin and I are even going out tonight!!

Mari and Sam the Man gave an awesome Baby Christmas party...it was a gift exchange and so fun for the babies!! Mari had it decorated beautifully. Thanks for the Parrrr-tay!

There are some old pics of our Thanksgiving at the Franey/Goodyear's. The twins are sweet and so freaking cute. Char is pretty much a pro decorator so her house it fantastic for Christmas!

Happy Birthday Baby

Dear Grace,
You are lying next to me, breathing softly, with your paci in your mouth and your white bear close by. I don't want to put you in your crib just yet. It's your first birthday today! What a wild, long, short, amazing, wonderful year this has been with you. This time last year we were just getting to know eachother and now I have been getting to know you more and more each day. I'm learning that although you want your own way sometimes, you always want a snuggle. I know that you love exploring and learning new things. I have learned that a crinkle in your little nose means you're SUPER happy, and a half grin means it go either way;) You are a loving, funny, sweet, smart, wonderful, beautiful little baby and I could never find words to describe how much your daddy and I love you. Just know that this past year has been the best year of my life because you were in it and I look forward to the future with you!

On Saturday, Grace celebrated her first birthday in style at the Little Gym with a bunch of her friends! It all started Thursday night when Char and I got together, busted out the cooking supplies and got to work! She is a regular martha stewart and did an amazing job on these cupcakes...mmmm. I made dog bone cookies to go along with the theme, but they looked much better than they tasted! hahaha. Mari also helped so much with advice and cool silver serving platters. Grace thrilled her friends with eiffel tower sippy cups, pink feathers, La Madeline treats and awesome french loot bags. She wore her pink poodle skirt and a bow, and off she went into the little gym! They played with the parachute and sang happy birthday to her when she was in the middle. Music played, she busted a little move, had fun with balls and burst some bubbles. She blankly stared at all the crazy people singing happy birthday but dove into that cupcake! It was an exhausting , wonderful day.
