Teething, eating food and moving to her own room...slow down Gracie!

Sideroom nursery in it's natural state! haha

Grace very hard at work

Ready to get out!

This little book Grace is touching is horrible! She keeps getting her tiny fingers caught in it,cries and then I save her. So then, out of everything on her tea party exersaucer, she goes for it again! Poor baby

I had to get a shower so bad today, and I just figured that I could take Grace in too! This was the second time we have ever done this, but she was not too happy about it today! She was climbing up me. It was kinda hard to shampoo my hair with a baby clinging to my head!

So, nothing much new but everything is new. Grace ate cereal for the second time ever today! I still am a little surprised and sad that this phase has come so quickly, but I know it was time. Also, her new room is almost ready and we are preparing to move her out to her own room! I know she is kinda old for this buuuuuuut her little side room nursery is so awesome and since Im still nursing, too easy.
So, mom was reading from my baby book about specific things I was doing at certain ages and I think I better do that too (since I am going to print this blog as her baby book!) So, right now, Grace is:
~ babbling all the time, mostly in the mornings but all day!
~ Grace thinks Daisy is super funny. She finds things funny that slightly scares her. For example, when I zip up her sleeper, she giggles because she is nervous about it
~She loves touching faces and gazing at mom and dad
~ She loves it outside and enjoys looking around at new things.
~ When she is really tired, her eyes kind of go back and forth. That is how I know she is ready for sleep!
~When she eats, she crinkles her nose sometimes when she is really excited about it!
~ She loves climbing up daddy and is starting to 'horse around'a little
~ She prefers sleeping in our bed, and usually comes in with out around 5 am (I say I want that to stop, but I secretly really love sleeping with her!)
~She is grabbing everything and putting it in her mouth!
Ok, well I am going to go and start Gracie's bednight routine (bath, songs/book, feeding/rocking/sleep!)
xoxo

Grace Laughing at Mommy

http://www.vimeo.com/4367101

Warning: This video may be annoying if you do not like the game of peek-a-boo orrr you don't like babies laughing. Otherwise, it's pretty awesome!

Mom said there would be days like this....

Ready for bed

She wants to watch TV!

Future Poppy X 2!

A bunch of Newf's

Well, more like a week like this! Poor Justin dislocated his pinkie finger while riding bike in Galveston a week ago. I somehow threw out my back and I can't go to Stroller Fit. And...Grace is teething! Yes, she has some sore little tooth buds happening and she is a sad little girl. We are doing everything we can think of to help her out, but I know she is uncomfortable. The only family member who is totally healthy is Daisy Duke.

Char, her daddy Ray and his friend Gord came over for a visit! That was a highlight of the day for sure. Char is 30 weeks pregnant with her girls Mila and Suri. She looks so cute holding Grace becaues you can almost picture her with those two little sweeties! Can't wait to meet them.

Ok, here are some random pics. I'm ready for a heating pad!

Hello up there

Little girl and boy blue

Justins wallet tastes delicious

Hey! I promised that I would keep up with the blog, and I'm trying to! So, yesterday was Lindsay's bithday and we went to Willies Icehouse today to celebrate:) Dave was such a natural with the babies! Hmmmm, some little Zora's in the future? haha.

Mari and Sammy came over today to play. It's been a big day for Sam because he crawled today! Check our Mari's blog to see the video:) What a big boy!

Grace and Sam took a bath together tonight. It was super cute, but I think the babies were not that impressed. Sam borrowed one of Gracie's onesie's....can you pick out which one is hers;)

4 month check!

Some old pics from the Thorne's trip! We miss you guys xo

Sorry it has been sooo long since I have blogged. Life seems to have gotten super busy, and the days just fly. ESPECIALLY since I have been napping with Gracie in the day lately! I was resisting the urge to nap when she was for a while, and I now I take sleep where I can get it. She is still feeding about twice per night, so that makes for a tired mommy. I LOVE our nap times together and I hope she is a napper as she gets older!

At her four month check-up she weighed almost 13 pounds and was 24 1/2 inches long. She is the 40 somthing percentile for weight and 75th percentile for height! Grace was slightly scared of the doctor, and we are pretty shocked that she already has stranger anxiety! She has met and exceeded all of her milestones, so we are proud parents;)

Oh! So, we had JB's friend, Stan the painter, come in and finish off Gracies room that pop Bill started. It looks awesome! I will show some before and after pics asap!

Anyway, I am off to buy Grace a jumparoo online! She is a sturdy little pixie and needs something to get out that energy.

XOXO

Good Bye....again

The butterfly exhibit

A very thoughtful gift from Ms. Lynn Seward

On our way to the museum

Andrew's first time holding Grace!!

Thrilled

It's almost 10 and I feel so down because Dad, Leigh and Andrew are leaving tomorrow morning. It is such a weird thing to have loved ones come down, spend lots of time with us and then not see them for months on end! It's especially sad now because I see Grace become close with her grandparents and then, poof, gone. It's hard to see the grandparents get so upset but I honestly think Grace feels sad too. I know lots of families go through this whole visiting family thing, but we are all getting used to it. When will is get easier?!

On a positive note, we went to the museum today. I have been there before, but this time I went to the butterfly exhibit. SO nice. I could have stayed all day! We also went to the rose garden and Grace seemed to like the warm weather and the pretty flowers.

So, bye for now Dad, Leigh and Andrew. We had a great week with you and will see you soon! I'll miss you guys...xooxo

Love!

Yes, before I start telling you about what we have been doing, I have to apologize for using the word 'love' so much! For an English major, I should have more adjectives. I was looking back at the blog, and thinking I have to use different words! But, these days, love is a great word for whats going on! We are all totally in love with Grace, I love that people are visiting, I love hanging out with friends, I love Daisy Duke, I love baby clothes, I love the weather, I love my husband, I love hanging out doing nothing on the weekends, I love thinking of our trip home, I love....I love...ok, it's outta my system!

Lately, we have been doing lots of things with the family. Yesterday we went to Galvestion and had lots of fun at Shlitterbahn (a huge water park). There was a huge lazy river around the entire thing and lots of crazy slides. Grace did really well and didn't get cranky at all even though it was a super long day. We also went to Mount Asia which is a place that has racing cars, batting cages and mini golf. It's been so great to hang out with Leigh, Dad and Andrew every day! They are loving the weather and swimmming in the pool. It's great to wake up in the morning and hear dad come down the steps to spend time with his grandbaby.

As for Ms. Gracie, she has done so much since Dad and the family has visted! She is touching her own hair and eating her toes now! She is screaming (or singing) just to hear her own voice. She loves reaching for peoples faces and smiles big squishy smiles when people act silly. Her four month appoint. is coming up so we will have to tell you all her stats!
